Hike & Dive was born from the desire to offer another way to discover Costa Rica: by linking scuba diving, hiking, and conservation within the same expedition. Based in Costa Rica, we organize small group stays, with personalized accompaniment and certified PADI guides.
Our specialty is combining the large Pacific diving sites with the discovery of the country's landscapes: volcanoes, waterfalls, forests, and trails. We also give a central place to marine conservation, so that travelers can better understand the ecosystems they discover by participating in actions carried out on the ground.
What sets us apart, especially, is our approach in small groups, more human and more flexible. We are not simply looking to chain dives: we want to create coherent expeditions, where one takes the time to explore, learn, meet, and understand the territory. Hike & Dive is aimed at divers who want to go beyond a classic diving stay and live a more complete experience of Costa Rica.

Safety information:
Hike & Dive reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel a dive if the sea conditions, current, visibility or weather are not deemed suitable. In the same way, we can refuse access to a specific dive to a participant if their actual level, experience, buoyancy control or behavior underwater do not allow us to guarantee their safety and that of the group. A certification is not always enough to access all sites: certain dives, particularly at the Bat Islands or the Catalinas, may require more experience and ease. When possible, we will offer an alternative more adapted to the level of the diver or the conditions of the day. Decisions are always made by the guide, instructor or captain in charge of the outing, with a single objective: to dive the group in the best possible safety conditions.

We were lucky enough to do several activities during our trip to Costa Rica: La Leona, the Santa Elena Reserve in Monteverde, ziplining in the clouds, guided snorkeling, and much more. What I loved about Hike and Dive was the personalized approach to our trip. Our guides, Clara and Oscar, showed us a multitude of local spots based on our interests: beaches, hikes, authentic restaurants. They were attentive to our well-being and interests. We met professional and very friendly people. We even made some wonderful friendships and new acquaintances during our trip. I will definitely use them again on my next trip!

Thank you to Clara and Oscar for sharing their passion for diving and discovering their beautiful country with us 🇨🇷 We stayed for a week in Playa del Coco where we went on several hikes, learning all about the surrounding nature. Each hike was more beautiful than the last! We also went diving twice, and it was an unforgettable experience... Oscar made us feel very comfortable in the water. Even though I was quite apprehensive about the session, I immediately felt safe. We have wonderful memories of it!!! Thank you again, and we hope to return soon!!!
