Since April 2024, with three passionate associates, we have taken over the management of the Phocea Mexico club, located at the heart of the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Our team is francophone, dynamic and has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in the field of diving.
We are committed to discovering — or rediscovering 😉 — the wonders of our region :
- The iconic cenotes of the peninsula
- The world-renowned reefs of Cozumel, explored by Jacques-Yves Cousteau
- Our seasonal activities: dives with bull sharks, eagle rays, snorkeling with whale sharks, sailfish
Phocea Mexico is a human-sized club, with the capacity to accommodate groups.

Fantastic day of diving with five very different and memorable dives. We saw nurse sharks, turtles, octopus, plenty of eels, lobster, and an abundance of reef fish. The dive centre is extremely well equipped and professionally run, ideally located just a short walk from the beach and the boat. The setup is excellent, with proper changing rooms and secure areas to store gear. Equipment is high-quality French gear, all very well maintained, with options for oxygen and nitrox available. The team was flexible and accommodating, happy to tailor the dives to where we wanted to go, which made the experience feel personal rather than rushed or generic. Boarding the boat required a bit of clambering, but once aboard we were in great hands. The boat driver was excellent, and the crew were attentive and helpful throughout, assisting with gear setup and smoothly getting us in and out of the water. The dive masters and instructors (French and Dutch) were outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Underwater they were great at spotting and pointing out marine life, while maintaining strong safety standards and excellent ocean awareness. We finished the day with a bull shark dive, which was a truly unique experience. I’ve never been so close to sharks before — absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a professionally run dive centre with great guidance, flexibility, and an exceptional diving experience.

It was amazing experience - a thoroughly supported process in booking to learning to diving. I highly recommend Phocea for your diving experience. We dove three times and each was nicely organized and accommodating. Freya was extraordinarily great, with her ‘tricks’ on learning about nitrox equations.
